Hi, my name is Gillian, and I’m a proud fourth-generation Imperial Beach local. From a very young age, I’ve always had a deep love for animals—especially dogs. I was the kid who brought home every stray I found and begged my parents to let me keep them. One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting the Chula Vista pound with my parents, where I convinced them to adopt my first dog, Ruby.
Today, I share my home with two beloved pups—Jack Jack, a spirited Jack Russell/Dachshund mix, and Bailey (affectionately known as Bean Dip), a playful Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. They keep me smiling every day and constantly remind me why I chose this career.
After graduating from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2021 and gaining experience in the workforce, I realized my true passion was caring for animals. That inspired me to continue my education at Pima Medical Institute, where I earned certifications that allow me to work hands-on with animals and expand my knowledge of veterinary care.
My long-term goal is to become a veterinarian and eventually open a dog sanctuary, providing a safe and loving space for abandoned dogs until they find their forever homes.
